On Sunday, June 13th at 1:30 p.m. over 10,000 people will once again line Main street for what is said to be one of the areas best parades. More than 100 units will again participate including over 30 visiting royalty, antique cars, tractors, horses, policticians, community groups, and a host local businesses. Business entries will be limited to the Albertville area. Our parade will be limited to 100 units all entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Parade applications will be accepted up until May 15, 2010. If you or your group wish to participate in our parade you can download an application by clicking on the downloads page. Citizens yet to be determined will lead the parade as this years selection for the Outstanding Citizens. Our very own STMA Marching Knights will be the feature band in addition to 6 other area marching bands. There will be trophies awarded to the top three marching bands, local units, and visiting royalty floats. Its sure to be another great Sunday to watch a parade. Bring your lawn chairs, bring your family and friends, and join in the fun. Our parade will start at 1:30 p.m. SHARP with lineup starting at 12 Noon along Barthel Industrial Drive. The parade will start at 59th street and run south on Main Avenue to 50th Street. The parade can be viewed anywhere along Main Street. There will be an announcers/judges stand at 56th street. Marching Bands will disperse at the STMA Middle School West. There will be an awards presentation at the STMA Stadium for the marching bands, and in the STMA Auditorium for the floats. Portable toilets and garbage recepticles will be available along the parade route. Please help keep Albertville Clean by using the recepticles. There will be blowups, toys, and concessions available along the parade route.
